Attractions

  • The single-nave late Romanesque church of Santa María de la Concepción was built around 1200. The archivolt portal on the south side decorated with leaves and rosettes and the similarly designed arches of the two apse windows are impressive . The capitals are already badly damaged; The figurative console figures and capitals below the eaves of the apse, which is vertically structured by half-column templates, are, however, much better preserved. The unadorned west facade is surmounted by a bell gable ( espadaña ).
  • The largely unadorned Ermita de la Virgen de Legarda is about a kilometer outside the village. It too has the portal on the south side, while the west side is elevated by a two-storey bell gable.
