The men's downhill skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympics should take place on February 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. local time (3:00 a.m. CET ) in the Jeongseon Alpine Center . However, wind gusts of up to 100 km / h caused the race to be postponed to February 15, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. local time (3:30 a.m. CET ). The Super-G race that was actually planned for that day was postponed by 24 hours.
The gold medal went to the Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal, ahead of his compatriot Kjetil Jansrud and the Swiss Beat Feuz .
