LEDA / PGC 70075 ( NGC 7418A ) is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Scd in the constellation Crane in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 94 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years across. Together with IC 5264 and IC 5269 it forms the IC 5264 group or LGG 465 .
The galaxies NGC 7418 , IC 1459 , IC 5265 , IC 5269 are located in the same area of the sky .
The supernovae SN 1983M and SN 2007oc (Type IIP) were observed here.
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on June 10, 1896 .
