Padre Burgos is a Filipino municipality in the Quezon Province , in Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 22,460 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 22 barangays . It is classified as the fourth income class community in the Philippines. The community was named after the Filipino national hero Jose Burgos .
Padre Burgos is located in the north of the Bay of Tayabas , on the coast of which there are extensive mangrove forests . Their neighboring communities are Atimonan in the north, Agdangan in the southeast, and Pagbilao in the northwest. The topography of the city is characterized by flat , hilly and mountainous landscapes. Parts of Quezon National Park are in the municipality's territory.
Padre Burgos is connected to the Bicol region and the metropolitan area of Metro Manila via the Maharlika Highway .
