Paisley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County in the US state of Florida with 818 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Paisley is on the edge of the Ocala National Forest . The CDP is located around 30 km northeast of Tavares and around 60 km north of Orlando .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 818 inhabitants were distributed over 266 households. The population density was 96.2 inh / km². 95.1% of the population identified themselves as white , 0.4% as African American and 1.2% as Native American . 1.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.6% to several ethnic groups. 3.5% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 30.2% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 29.0% of all households. 65.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.40 people and the average family size was 2.87 people.

23.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 20.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 32.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 24.2% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 45 years. 51.6% of the population were male and 48.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 33,409, with 49.8% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
