history

2011–2012: Foundation, record deal, first successes

The band, founded in 2011 in Iselin , New Jersey , consists of Louis Miceli ( vocals ), Matt Marshall ( electric guitar ), Xavier Adames (electric guitar, vocals), Earl Halasan (electric guitar, sampling ), Brandon Elgar ( electric Bass ) and Aaron Rosa ( drums ).

Rise Records officially signed the group on December 20, 2011. Before the group got a recording deal, they released three singles that appeared on the later EP I'm Not Dying Today . These were so popular on the Internet that the label decided to sign the musicians. The EP was released in January 2012.

The band's first tour took place between February and March 2012. On The Revived Tour , the band toured the United States with Us, From Outside (now Chasing Safety), A Faylene Sky and Send the Messenger . In April the band played their first festival. In May, the Rise Records tour followed, with the group supporting Hands Like Houses , The Air I Breathe and My Ticket Home . A month later, the group supported Set It Off , Our Last Night and Crown the Empire . In September and October the group played two more concert tours that led through the USA and Canada . Palisades opened up for For All Those Sleeping , Upon This Dawning and Abandon All Ships .

2013–2014: Debut album Outcast and first European tour

2013 began for the group with a US concert tour with I See Stars , Get Scared , Upon This Dawning and For All Those Sleeping. In April 2013 the Rise Records Tour followed , which the band completed with Like Moths to Flames , Crown the Empire , My Ticket Home and The Color Morale . It was also announced that Palisades were working on their debut album, which was due to be released on May 21, 2013.

The album was released on the day in question and was previewed on Alternative Press . The album entered the Heatseekers Charts , the Hard Rock Album Charts and the Independent Charts - all determined by Billboard magazine . In May and June, two more tours followed in which the group played as the opening act for The Almost and Crown the Empire . In October and November the group played another concert tour, this time as the opening act for The Word Alive and I See Stars. Immediately afterwards, the group played their first European tour. The band played in the opening act for Dream On, Dreamer from Australia and the Canadian band Silverstein . The performances took place in Germany , Sweden , the Netherlands , Belgium , Switzerland , Austria and the United Kingdom .

In January and February 2014, the band toured the United States with Famous Last Words and Tear Out the Heart as part of the Ride or Die tour .

Since 2014: Second studio album Mind Games and Another Techno Jawn

On May 29, 2014 it was announced that the band with producer Erik Ron, who had already worked with Hands Like Houses and Saosin , had flown to Los Angeles to work on the second studio album. This is called Mind Games and was officially released worldwide on January 13, 2015 via Rise Records. The group played a brief release tour with Youth in Revolt and For All I Am to promote the album.

On July 29, 2014, the group released a remix EP called Another Techno Jawn , on which they were supported by various DJs such as DJ Scout from Issues and Andrew Oliver from I See Stars . Between July and August 2014, the band toured the States as part of the Allstars Tour with Slaves , The Acacia Strain , Sworn In and Like Moths to Flames . Another USA / Canada tour followed in October with For the Fallen Dreams and Capture the Crown , which ended in early November.
