The Platzbruch is a nature reserve in the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0040 is 21.76  hectares . It is part of the FFH area "Upper Nuthe-runs" and the conservation area surrounded "West Fläming". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961 (date of regulation: March 30, 1961). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld.

The nature reserve is located between the districts of Grimme , Polenzko and Dobritz in the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the Fläming Nature Park . It places a spring moor in the headwaters of a tributary of the Grimmer Nuthe in Roßlau-Wittenberger Vorflaming and a natural deciduous forest area under protection. The forest is part of a larger forest area that connects to the nature reserve in a north and east direction.

The boggy locations are predominantly occupied by broken forest communities with sedge-alder-birch break with beak sedge and swamp sedge . Pipe grass, oak and birch forest join the broken forest communities. The nature reserve is u. a. Woodcock habitat . Botanical peculiarities in the nature reserve are occurrences of sub-Atlantic species such as bell heather and king fern , both of which are common, as well as beech fern and oak fern more rarely .

The nature reserve is drained towards the Nuthe . It mostly borders on other forests, to the south also on agricultural areas .
