The Vogtei is a nature reserve in the cities of Southern Anhalt and Zörbig in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG 133 is 76.7  hectares in size. It is partially a component of the FFH area "Fuhnequellgebiet Bailiwick west Wolfen" and completely from the landscape conservation area surrounded "Fuhneaue". The area has been under protection since April 1, 1983. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld.

The nature reserve is located in the Köthener and Halle arable land in the Fuhneniederung west of Wolfen between the towns of Salzfurtkapelle and Zehbitz . It places a landscape characterized by meadows and forests on fen soils in the source area of ​​the Fuhne under protection. In addition, arable land is included in the nature reserve. Within the nature reserve there are several former peat cuttings that have overflowed with water and are slowly silting up. The biotope structures in the protected area are of great importance for flora and fauna.

The grassland areas are used for agriculture and are predominantly species-poor. Only a few humid whistle grass or cabbage thistle meadows with dyer's notch , yellow meadow rue , shiny meadow rue , meadow silge and common adder tongue can be found. Remains of the original alder-ash forest have been preserved in the Fuhneniederung. In addition, gray willow and buckthorn bushes spread in the lowlands and on fallow meadows . Alder, poplar and birch forests also grow south of the Fuhne.

The peat cutting waters, in which rich silting vegetation has developed, are of particular importance. In this area, reeds are predominant. In addition, cattail stocks found with narrow and Bleitblättrigem cattails , rushes cutting companies, bulrushes -Röhrichte, reed canary grass -Röhrichte, swamp harrows riede and Scheinzyperseggen riede. The white water lily settles in places . The water spring society developed in the Fuhne.

The nature reserve is u. a. Habitat for red and black kite , marsh harrier , common buzzard , kestrel , tawny owl , long-eared owl , Little Grebe , Water Rail , Moorhen , reed warbler and Beutelmeise . Amphibians and reptiles are u. a. by common frog , moor frog , pond frog , marsh frog , toad , common toad , newt and grass snake represented.

The nature reserve borders mainly on agricultural areas . The fen areas drain over the Fuhne to the east to the Mulde and to the west to the Saale .
