The Diebziger Busch is a nature reserve in the municipality of Osternienburger Land in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0087 is around 394  hectares in size. It is almost completely part of the FFH area “Diebziger Busch und Wulfener Bruchwiesen” and the bird sanctuary “Wulfener Bruch and Teichgebiet Osternienburg” and is completely surrounded by the landscape protection area “Middle Elbe”. The area has been under protection since 2003 (date of regulation: December 15, 2003). It replaces the nature reserve of the same name that was designated on May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld.

The nature reserve is located west of Aken (Elbe) in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve . It protects a near-natural oak-elm-hardwood alluvial forest in the Elbe valley lowlands. The forest is separated from the Elbe by the Elbe dike, so that there are no floods when the Elbe floods. The alluvial forest is characterized by field maple , English oak , field elm and white elm . In addition, are wild pear and wild apple to find. The shrub layer is formed by the hawthorn species, single and double-fluted hawthorn , blood-red dogwood , European eucoat , common viburnum and black elder . The herb layer is u. a. made of stinging nettle , garlic mustard , spotted dead nettle and Ruprecht's cabbage. In addition, Zittergrassegge , giant fescue , Forest millet and Brachypodium sylvaticum to find that, do not occur in lowland forests that are still flooded.

In arid dunes locations increased the hornbeam training of Oak Elm floodplain forest with nodding melic and milkweed . In places, alluvial forest areas have been replaced by pine forests. In addition to the forests, there are grassland and arable land in the nature reserve. Riding grass fields settle on fallow , former agricultural areas . The forests in the nature reserve have valuable old and dead wood stocks .

The nature reserve is u. a. Habitat for honey buzzard , red and black kite and hawk . The black stork also sometimes lives in the nature reserve.

The nature reserve is largely surrounded by agricultural land. The state road 149 between Diebzig and Lödderitz runs through the area and borders it south of Diebzig. A section of the pigeon flows through the Diebziger Bush and delimits the nature reserve northwest of Diebzig.
