Porsche AP16
The Porsche AP16 is a tractor from Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH , which was based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and took over tractor production from Allgaier Werke for the AP16 from 1950 to 1951.
The predecessor of the Porsche-Diesel AP 16 was the type 313 tractor, a new edition of the 20 hp Volksschlepper. The AP16 weighed between 950 and 1017 kg and had a 16 hp engine that was supposed to replace the AP17. The air-cooled 2-cylinder / 4-stroke in-line swirl chamber diesel engine was equipped with air cooling, which meant that the noise level of the series was louder, but comparatively little maintenance had to be carried out.
