Porsche A 133

The Porsche A 133 is a tractor from Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH , which was based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and took over tractor production from Allgaier Werke from 1956 to 1957, with around 2,200 copies of the tractor model being produced. The Porsche A 133 was the predecessor model of the Porsche Super 308.

The Porsche tractor was characterized by its particularly powerful three-cylinder engine , while other tractor models were still operated with a steam engine . The air-cooled engine of the Porsche tractor was designed in a tunnel construction and thus a technical innovation on the tractor market. The three-cylinder diesel engine had 33 hp at a rated speed of 2000 rpm. In addition, the engine had three PTO shafts , two of which were located in the rear of the tractor and which were standard equipment. The Porsche A 133 was produced in two different versions. The main difference is the wheelbase . Depending on the model, these had a track width of 1290–1686 mm or 1290–1776 mm. Thus, the models of the A 133 were between 1592 and 2078 mm wide. However, the length of the tractor was always the same for both versions.

The Porsche A 133 had a total of five forward gears with which, depending on the tires on the rear wheel, speeds of up to 28.7 km / h could be achieved. The Porsche tractor also had a reverse gear and a crawler gear . The rear wheel served with a transmission PTO shaft and a ground speed PTO shaft to drive the Porsche tractor. In addition, the separately switched front PTO on the Porsche diesel A 133 was used for the mower . The axle load was 600 kg on the front axle and up to 1025 kg on the rear axle . Both rear wheels have internal shoe brakes and can also be operated as individual wheel brakes. The Porsche tractor also had a modern electric starter .
