Porsche AP22

The Porsche AP22 is a tractor from Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH , which was based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and which took over tractor production from Allgaier Werke . In autumn 1952 the AP22 model appeared , where AP stands for Allgaier-Porsche , which is a version of the AP17 people's tractor with 22 HP instead of 17 HP in the same design. The air-cooled 1,531 cm³ two-cylinder diesel engine, with an output of 22 hp, achieves this at 2,000 rpm. For the DLG exhibition in Frankfurt am Main , Allgaier changed the shape of the engine cover, which is now smooth and round, in order to adapt the model to the rest of the model range. The 1,320 kg heavy diesel tractor, which is equipped with two PTO shafts , works with a five-speed gearbox with an additional crawler gear , which transfers the power of the engine to the rear wheels and allows a top speed of 20 km / h. The hydraulic Voith - fluid coupling allows a smooth start in any gear and helps to protect the machine. The equipment in the swirl chamber diesel consisted of pressure circulating lubrication by means of a gearwheel, manually adjustable centrifugal governor, oil slinger, oil bath air filter, Bosch injection system, remote thermometer and radial cooling fan. The front axle was either a gantry pendulum axle, which could be adjusted four times, or a sprung front axle, whereas the rigid rear axle was a portal axle. The maximum axle load of the Porsche Diesel AP 22 tractor was 330 kg at the front and 670 kg at the rear.
