Primeira Divisão 1942/43

The Primeira Divisão 1943/44 was the tenth season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. The league operation continued undisturbed during the Second World War , as Portugal declared itself neutral . The game was played from November 28, 1943 to March 26, 1944.

Sporting Lisbon secured the championship title for the second time after 1941 .

Until 1948, the teams that could qualify through the regional tournaments were eligible. Ascent and descent were only introduced afterwards.

Ten teams took part this season. Two of them are newcomers, namely SC Salgueiros from Porto and Atlético CP from Lisbon .
