Lemass Government 3
The Lemass 3 government was the 11th government of the Republic of Ireland , in office from April 21, 1965 to November 10, 1966.
In the parliamentary elections on April 7, 1965 , Fianna Fáil (FF) , who had ruled since 1957, won back her absolute majority. It provided 72 of the 144 MPs. Seán Lemass , Taoiseach (Prime Minister) since 1959 , was re-elected as head of government on April 24, 1965 by 72 votes to 67 by the Dáil Éireann (Lower House of the Irish Parliament). The members of the government were elected at the same meeting. On November 10, 1966 Prime Minister Lemass resigned and proposed Finance Minister Jack Lynch , who had already succeeded him as party leader, as his successor.

Reshuffles
On July 13, 1966, an additional department was created with the Ministry of Labor. Minister became the previous Minister of Industry Patrick Hillery , his successor was Minister of Education George Colley . The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Trade Seán Flanagan became Minister of Health, while the previous incumbent Donogh O'Malley took over the Ministry of Education.
