Government Lynch 1
The Lynch 1 government was the 12th government of the Republic of Ireland , operating from November 10, 1966 to July 2, 1969.
The Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Seán Lemass , who has been in office since 1959 , announced his resignation on November 10, 1966. Finance Minister Jack Lynch , who succeeded Lemass as party leader, was elected as the new head of government by Dáil Éireann (Lower House of the Irish Parliament) with 71 votes to 64.

Reshuffles
Education Minister Donogh O'Malley died on March 10, 1966, while Prime Minister Jack Lynch took over the education department on a temporary basis. On March 26, Justice Minister Brian Lenihan became the Ministry of Education, the Minister for Land and the Gaeltacht, Michael Moran , succeeded the Justice Ministry, and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Gaeltacht, Pádraig Faulkner , became Minister.
The parliamentary secretary to the Minister for Transport and Energy and to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries Don Davern died on November 2nd, 1968.
