Status after the Little League World Series 2018
Individual evidence
Remarks
- ↑ In July 1957, the Monterrey team took part in a tournament in McAllen , Texas on a three-day visa . The plan was to play one day and two days of sightseeing. After the victory in McAllen and the two more days in the USA they ran out of money and a return to the USA would have been impossible. After several phone calls to Washington, the solution was found that the team could stay in the USA until they were definitively eliminated from the tournaments. But that never happened because the team never lost a tournament. They won six tournaments in a row, including the tournaments of the Little League World Series Region South and the Little League World Series in 1957. In September, the team returned to Mexico undefeated. The achievements of the los pequeños gigantes (the little giants) are retold in the two films Los Pequeños Gigantes (1960) iMDb and The Perfect Game (2008) iMDb .
- ↑ Mexicali represented the Little League West region of the USA. At that time they belonged to the LL League of Calexico in California. After the 1985 event, Mexicali was assigned to Mexico.
