The rampart iron heads is a ring wall from the Latènezeit at Hommertshausen , in the municipality of Dautphetal in central Hesse Marburg-Biedenkopf ..

history

The ring wall was only discovered at the end of the 20th century. It is located in a zone of ore-bearing diabase on the eastern edge of the Rhenish Slate Mountains . Investigations in 2002 found remains of slag and bronze flux .
