Clean C13
The Sauber C13 was the second Formula 1 racing car from Sauber Motorsport and was used in the 1994 Formula 1 World Championship .
Technology and development
The C13 was designed by André de Cortanze and Leo Ress . A V10 engine from Mercedes-Benz with a displacement of 3.5 l was used as the drive.
As with all other teams, the tires came from Goodyear . The gasoline came from Castrol .
Painting and sponsorship
The basic color of the C13 was black and had white accents. The front and rear wings were white. Sponsor stickers were attached by Tissot and Sonax , among others .
driver
At the beginning of the season, Karl Wendlinger and Heinz-Harald Frentzen were used as drivers. During training for the fourth Grand Prix of the season, the Monaco Grand Prix , Wendlinger had a serious accident and fell into a coma . He was out for the rest of the season. At this Grand Prix, Sauber did not start from Frentzen.
From the Canadian Grand Prix , Andrea de Cesaris started for the Swiss racing team. In the last two races, Cesaris was replaced by JJ Lehto .
