Schwarzenbach is a village in the Carinthian market town of Metnitz with 53 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The village lies entirely in the territory of the Metnitz Land cadastral community .

location

The village is located in the Schwarzenbachtal, a left side valley of the Metnitztal , which extends from the upper Metnitztal to the north into the Metnitz mountains .

history

In the area of ​​the Metnitz-Land tax municipality, the place belonged to the Grades tax district in the first half of the 19th century . When the political communities were founded in the course of the reforms after the revolution in 1848/49, Schwarzenbach came to the Metnitz community and thus to the Sankt Veit an der Glan district .
