Sebeschskoje ( Russian Себежское , German Demildszen , 1936-1938 Demildschen , 1938-1946 Kleinkamanten ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Krasnojarskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen )) in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ).

Geographical location

Sebeschskoje is located on the western bank of the Angerapp (Russian: Angrapa) in the north of the city of Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) and can only be reached on rather impassable roads. There is no rail connection.

history

On May 6, 1874, the former Demildszen was one of eleven rural communities or manor districts that formed the newly established Gailboden district (Russian: Gurjewskoje, no longer existing). Until 1945 he belonged to the district of Darkehmen (1939–1945 district of Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1907 44 people lived here.

On January 15, 1930 Demildszen gave up his independence and merged with the rural community Camanten (1938-1946 Camanten , since 1946: Klimowka) to form the new rural community Camanten. In 1936 the spelling of the name was changed to "Demildschen", on June 3, 1938 (with official confirmation from July 16, 1938) the place name was finally changed to "Kleinkamanten".

However, this name should not last long. As a result of the Second World War , the place like all of northern East Prussia came under Soviet sovereignty and was renamed " Sebeschskoje " in 1946 . By 2009 the place was incorporated into the Bagrationovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938–1946 Wiecken )), then came - due to a structural and administrative reform in the Kaliningrad Oblast - to the Krasnoyarskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Krasnoyarskoje ( Sodehnen )) in Osjorsk Raion of the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia since 1991/92.

church

Until 1945, the population of Demildszen / Kleinkamanten was almost without exception Protestant denomination and belonged to the Darkehmen parish (1938–1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk). It was in the church district Darkehmen (Angerapp) in the church province East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergy were pastors Johannes Gemmel and Helmut Passauer .

Church activities were prohibited during the Soviet Union . So it was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast. Sebeschskoje is located in the catchment area of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ), whose congregation belongs to the newly formed provost of Kaliningrad in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
