Career

Simone Benz was only active in swimming (swimming club Wädenswil) before she started with the triathlon.

She started in early 2010 as a professional triathlete in the Tempo-Sport Olivier Bernhard team , where she was trained by the former triathlete Olivier Bernhard .

Simone Benz mainly competes in the middle or long distance and in November 2011 she won her first victory in the Ironman distance in Mexico (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

In November 2015 she won the Laguna Phuket Triathlon in Thailand and a week later the Challenge Laguna Phuket in the middle distance.
