Sing Like Me is a song by the American musician Chris Brown . It was released on November 24, 2009, at the same time as the second single " Crawl ", as a promotional sound carrier from Brown's third studio album Graffiti , which was released in December. Apart from the hot R&B / hip-hop songs of the USA, it did not reach any chart position.

The track was written by Chris Brown, Big Makk, Keith Thomas, Lorenza "Big Lo" Lennon and Atozzio Towns, some of whom also served as producers (Big Makk, Keith Thomas, Big Lo). It was recorded at The Compound , a recording studio in Orlando , Florida . It was mixed under the direction of Tony Maserati in The Record Plant , a studio in Los Angeles . The cover of the song is optically based on that of the album and corresponds to the retro style . While the background is blue, Brown is dressed entirely in black with the exception of a red cardigan .

“Sing Like Me” is a slow jam , pop and R&B ballad. It includes 808 drum - beats , also Asian influences would determine. Sarah MacRory of Billboard compared the song to R. Kelly's 2001 " Feelin 'On Yo Booty. " Lyrically, the title is about leaving a nightclub with some girls Brown doesn't like enough to marry. The author of a review for Yahoo! Music wrote that Brown used the lyrics to "brag about girls who can't get enough of him."

Another reviewer called the song, like the song " Crawl ", "strong songs". Sarah Rodman, who wrote a review for the daily newspaper Boston Globe , was not convinced by the title and described it as "disgusting". In doing so, she drew a comparison with the "sex stuff and the bragging rights" by R. Kelly . Melinda Newman criticized a lack of creativity, while another writer stated that the song was "not particularly extraordinary".

Apart from the hot R&B / hip-hop songs of the USA, the song did not reach any chart position. There it rose to number 96. In the following week it reached rank 84 before it fell out of the hit list again.
