Kiss Kiss is a song by the American musician Chris Brown that features R&B singer and rapper T-Pain as a guest musician. The title was released on September 18, 2007 as the second single behind " Wall to Wall " from Brown's second studio album Exclusive , whereupon it placed number one on the Billboard Hot 100 , making it Brown's second and last number 1 hit. In Germany he did not get any placement. "Kiss Kiss" was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award , a BET Award and a Grammy Award , among others .

Background, music video and remix versions

The song was written by Chris Brown and T-Pain, with T-Pain also serving as the producer. The two worked together in 2008 and 2011 on the titles " Freeze " and " Best Love Song ". In addition to the original version, there are two remixes: one with Nelly and T-Pain and one with Ac and T-Pain.

The music video was made on the Florida International University campus , which is called University Park . Was directed by Erik White and Brown himself, both had worked together frequently in this form. The clip was shown for the first time on August 30th.

In the video, Brown plays two versions of himself: a nerd and a jock . In both variants, he tries to attract the attention of girls who are also going to college . Brown as a jock always harasses the nerd Brown in the presence of the girls, believing that he is so impressive to them. The nerd brown, on the other hand, is always friendly to women. In a later scene in the clip, the jock Brown is playing American football while the other Brown tries to start a conversation with the women. After several physical fights between the two Browns, the two are standing in front of their cars in the parking lot at the end of the clip, but when one of the girls walks past Jock-Brown and gives the other a kiss.

success

reception

A Billboard review said the song would be a strong follow-up to Wall to Wall . Other authors called "Kiss Kiss" a "danceable club track". In a review of the album Exclusive , the title was described as "the first highlight", although the lyrics were also criticized as "not particularly demanding" and the song generally criticized as "lacking in ideas". Most recently, however, it was noted that the single had "plenty of hit potential in the club scene".
