Take You Down is a song by the American musician Chris Brown , which was released on April 1, 2008 as the fourth single from Brown's second studio album Exclusive . After its release it reached number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 and position four of the Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Songs , in Germany it did not enter the charts. At the Grammy Awards 2009 the title was nominated in the category "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance" but did not receive the award.

Background and music video

The track was written by Christopher Brown, Lamar Edwards, Harvey Mason, Jr., James Fauntleroy, Steve Russell, and Damon Thomas, some of whom also served as producers under the pseudonym The Underdogs .

The music video was directed by Harvey White , which was Brown's and White's first collaboration. On April 2, 2008 the clip was shown for the first time, which only contains scenes from Brown's The UCP Exclusive Tour .
