Reviews
Kenneth Turan wrote in the Los Angeles Times on June 30, 2000 that the film based on the animated series Rocky and his Friends and The Bullwinkle Show from the early 1960s was made in the spirit of its idols. The director Des McAnuff, who has already directed the real film adaptations of the animated series, understands the " sensitivity " with which such work should be carried out. Turan praised the script , which has been described as a " secret weapon " in the film. The film contains numerous allusions to other films such as the imitation of the speech of Robert De Niro in the film Taxi Driver . Piper Perabo play her part nicely .
The lexicon of international films wrote that the film hardly used its “ satirical potential ” and that it was bogged down in “endeavored or grotesque comedy” .
