As in 1952 , 1954 and 1957, the overall winner was the Italian Pasquale Fornara , who holds the record with four victories in the Tour de Suisse (as of 2014). The tour started in Zurich with 59 drivers, of which 43 drivers made it to the finish - also in Zurich.
