The 6th Tour de Suisse took place from August 6th to 14th, 1938. The cycle tour was held in eight stages over a distance of 1,683 kilometers.
Overall winner was the Italian Giovanni Valetti , who had also won the Giro d'Italia in the same year . This tour was the first that did not start and end in Zurich - like the previous ones - but Bern was the start and finish. 70 drivers started, 40 of them reached the finish.
