The 41st Tour de Suisse took place from June 15 to 24, 1977. It was held in eleven stages and a prologue over a distance of 1,582.2 kilometers. The 4th stage was held as a mountain time trial and the 1st stage as an individual time trial.

The overall winner was the Belgian Michel Pollentier . The tour started in Baden with 79 drivers, 56 of whom crossed the finish line in Effretikon on the last day . The average speed of the winner was 37.825 km / h.
