Hit is a German youth film by director Dominik Graf based on the script by Christoph Fromm from 1984.

action

The three friends Albi, the blonde fighter, Tayfun, the carefree southern girl, and Franz, the lonely but clever fat man, always stand up for each other. In addition, they share a passionate love for motorcycles, which mean happiness but also great sorrow because they cost a lot of money. The bank wants to see installments on a regular basis, but the money for the repayments remains, despite all efforts.

Albi and Tayfun, who work in a shabby car repair shop, place the unemployed Franz there as salespeople. But when the old master Bichler dies, the son appoints a windy manager who throws the three out after a row. Chris makes the friends a dubious rescheduling offer. A lazy car deal fails: The noose continues to tighten. The fear for the motorcycles weakens the three boys' judgment. Albi develops a plan for a fictitious accident that turns into a fiasco.

Others

The production company for the film was Bavaria Film , which produced hits for WDR . The film was shot from October 24th to November 9th 1983 in the southern Palatinate and then from November 10th to December 7th 1983 in Munich and the surrounding area. The fictitious accident was filmed in Landau in the Palatinate on the Queich . The camping scene took place in the Wellbachtal (view of Langenfelsen ) and the climbing scene on the Asselstein . This was supported by the local climbing club (Pfälzer Kletterverein).

For a long time, the film was only available as a VHS cassette. A DVD version has only been available since January 2009. Although the film had been produced for television and was broadcast there in April 1984, hit was also released in German cinemas on June 29, 1984.

The piece of music at the beginning of the film comes from The Lovin 'Spoonful and is entitled "Darling be home soon".

criticism

“The adventures and everyday stories of a clique of young motorcycle enthusiasts who end up witnessing the tragic failure of their hopes and modest ideas of happiness. A milieu and character study that, unlike the socially critical or artistically ambitious German auteur film, is consciously oriented towards action patterns and tailored to the entertainment and identification needs of a young audience. Skilled in craftsmanship, with brilliantly written dialogues and relaxed actors. "( Lexicon of international film )

The German Film and Media Assessment FBW in Wiesbaden awarded the film the rating particularly valuable.
