Trippigleben is a village in the town of Klötze in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark village of Trippigleben, a round square village with a church on the square, is 17 kilometers west of Gardelegen on the northern edge of the Drömling Nature Park and in the bird sanctuary "Feldflur bei Kusey". history

The place was first mentioned as a drop lodge in 1121 , when Bishop Reinhard von Halberstadt assigned the place Kalbe to the monastery of St. Lorenz in Schöningen, which he founded. In 1394 dat dorp to Trippicleve was given to the dukes Bernhard and Heinrich of Braunschweig and Lüneburg by Gebhard von Berenbruke for 45 Marks of silver, together with Köckte, Breitenfeld and Tarnefitz . So Trippigleben came to the office of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. Due to the border location and customs border, many residents had smuggling as a sideline.

Further mentions are 1597 Tribeckleben , 1629 Trippichleben and 1820 Trippigleben .

The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1933.
