The US Highway 280 (just US 280 ) is a United States highway in the United States . The highway begins on Interstates 20 and 59 in Birmingham and ends on US Highway 80 in Bryan County . The road runs long distances through sparsely populated areas and small towns in southern Georgia and eastern Alabama. In Talladega County , US 280 is known as the Jim Nabors Highway .
Between Columbus and Bryan County, the US Highway serves as a bypass of US Highway 80. This is also symbolized by the number 280.
