history
The administrative community was created on January 1, 2005 through a forced amalgamation of the administrative community Weferlingen , the administrative community Beverspring and the administrative community Flechtinger Höhenzug . These three were again created in 1994, before that each municipality was independent and thus had a full-time mayor with its own administration.
