In the juniors category, Taiwanese Chen Chia-hua secured her second world title after 2016 with a 9-5 win over South Korean Seo Seoa .
The defending champions were Sanjin Pehlivanović (U17), Fjodor Gorst (U19) and Kristina Tkatsch (juniors). Gorst was the only winner from last year to compete again in the same age group. While Pehlivanović was now playing in the U19 category, Tkatsch was no longer eligible to participate due to age.
All three competitions were initially played in the double knockout system and then continued in the knockout system . In the two age groups of the juniors, the 24 participants competed against each other up to the quarter-finals in a double knockout mode, while the knockout phase of the junior women competition with 16 participants began with the semi-finals. Alternating break was used in all competitions. When kicking off, the one was built on the base and the three-point rule applied.
