WPA 8 Ball World Championship
The WPA 8-Ball World Cup is the World Pool-Billiard Association hosted world championship in billiards discipline 8-Ball .
The WPA's 8-Ball World Championships should not be confused with the competing Blackball World Championships of the WEPF and the WPA.
history
The 8-ball world championship took place mostly annually from 2004 to 2012 and was held at the Fujairah Bustan Center in Fujairah ( United Arab Emirates ). A total of US $ 120,000 in prize money was distributed to the 64 participants , of which US $ 25,000 went to the winner. In October 2016, the WPA announced that the 8-ball World Cup would be held again from 2017, now in the Chinese provincial capital, Jinan .
