The 2014 WPA 9-Ball World Championship for women was the 23rd edition of the World Championship in the 9-ball pool discipline . It took place from October 12 to 18, 2014 in Guilin ( People's Republic of China ).
The Chinese Liu Shasha became world champion for the second time after 2009 . In the final she defeated her compatriot Chen Siming , the runner-up world champion in 2011 , 9: 8. The defending champion was the Chinese Yu Han , who was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Kim Ga-young .

The 64 participants initially competed against each other in a double knockout system . From the round of 32, the tournament continued in the knockout system . The goal of the game was seven games in the double knockout phase and nine games in the final round. The game was played with an alternating break.
