history

The first mention was on July 18, 1361. Wickendorf belonged to the bishopric of Bamberg .

Wickendorf formed a real community with Rauschenhof . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 48 properties in Wickendorf (8 village estates, 7 three-quarter village estates, 11 half village estates, 4 quarter village estates, 14 drip houses , 2 half drip houses, 1 house, 1 solitary farm). The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center Teuschnitz . The village and township government and the manorial system had the box office Teuschnitz held. In addition to the property, there was also 1 church and 1 community brewhouse, as well as 1 semi-estate and 2 rod estates that were uninhabited.

As a result of secularization , the place became part of Bavaria in 1803. With the community edict, Wickendorf was assigned to the Teuschnitz tax district formed in 1808 . With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Wickendorf was formed, to which Rauschenhof belonged. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Teuschnitz district court and in financial management to the Rothenkirchen Rent Office ( renamed the Rothenkirchen Tax Office in 1919 ). In 1837 Wickendorf was transferred to the Ludwigsstadt district court . From 1862 to 1880 and from 1888 to 1931 Wickendorf was administered by the Teuschnitz District Office , from 1880 to 1888 and from 1931 by the Kronach District Office (renamed the Kronach District in 1939 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Ludwigsstadt until 1879, from 1879 district court Ludwigsstadt , which in 1956 became a branch of the district court Kronach . The financial management was taken over in 1929 by the Kronach tax office . The community originally had an area of 8.985 km², which increased to 9.036 km² through the incorporation of Rauschenberg .

After the First World War , there were twelve dead and three missing.

On January 1, 1978, Wickendorf was incorporated into Teuschnitz as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
