The 1st Bundesliga Pool 2016/17 was the 27th season of the top German league in pool . It started on October 22, 2016 and ended on May 28, 2017.

After 2005 , 2006 and 2016, BSV Dachau became German champion for the fourth time . The Dachau team secured the title on matchday 12 with a 6-2 away win against 1. PBC Sankt Augustin . The two newcomers, Sankt Augustin and the 1st PBC Karben , were determined to be relegated after the penultimate matchday. Even the BC Queue Hamburg descended to the second division. The Hamburg team had managed to stay in league with sixth place because they were planning a new club house, but they no longer reported for the following first division season, but played in the 2nd Bundesliga, in which they were previously represented by the second team.
