The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1964/65 was the 36th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on August 9, 1964 and ended on June 10, 1965.

The FK Partizan Belgrade was Yugoslav champion for the sixth time.

After Vardar Skopje was spared relegation due to the earthquake for humanitarian reasons last season, this season started with 15 teams. Only the bottom of the table had to relegate, as the following season was increased to 16 clubs.
