Altenberg is a nature reserve in Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

By ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council on the Altenberg nature reserve of November 6, 1985, a reserve of 87 hectares was designated.

Protection purpose

"The protection purpose is the preservation of near-natural forest stands, the Erlenbach valley and the semi-arid grassland with the characteristic stone bars to safeguard the typical animal and plant communities" ( LUBW ).
