André Mann , real name André Klöhn (born October 30, 1970 in Dinslaken ) is a German theater, film actor and voice actor .

Life

André Mann was born in Dinslaken as the son of a mechanical engineer and a retail saleswoman . He spent his childhood in Duisburg- Kaiserberg, interrupted by a year as an exchange student in Chicago USA .

From 1993 to 1997 he successfully completed his acting training at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater (HfMT), which is now the Hamburg Theater Academy, together with his acting colleague Marie Bäumer , among others , under the tutors Jutta Hoffmann , Monika Bleibtreu and others .

After completing his training, André Mann worked at the Landestheater Detmold from 1997 to 2001 . In a particularly emphasized by the critics staging he played alongside Ute Lubosch the Bruno Mechelke in Gerhart Hauptmann's drama Rats . In 2015 André Mann was one of the first German actors to work with Ivana Chubbuck, where he learned her Chubbuck Technique .

His preference for character roles is reflected, among other things, in his work with Thomas Thieme in the ZDF film " Uli Hoeneß - The Patriarch" and the ARD documentary drama " The Borgward Affair " directed by Marcus O. Rosenmüller . André Mann embodies the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Hanseatic City of Bremen , Karl Eggers , in " Die Affaire Borgward " . Silke Schütze and Eric Friedler from NDR were responsible for the editing .

Private life

André Mann, born Klöhn, took on the stage name Mann in 2018.

He is divorced and has a son. André Mann lives in his adopted home Berlin-Schöneberg .
