Andrej Leanidawitsch Stas ( Belarusian Андрэй Леанідавіч Стась , Russian Андрей Леонидович Стась / Andrei Leonidovich Stas * 18th October 1988 in Minsk , Byelorussian SSR ) is a Belarusian ice hockey player who since July 2017 when Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL ) is under contract.
Career
Andrej Stas began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with HK Junior Minsk , for whom he was active in the Belarusian second division from 2004 to 2008. From 2006 to 2008 he played in parallel for its cooperation partner HK Junost Minsk in the extra league . After he had started the 2008/09 season at HK Keramin Minsk in the Extraliga, he was committed during the season by its city neighbor HK Dinamo Minsk from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , for which he played until 2014 and became a tribe - and national players developed. In 2014 he decided to leave the club after six years of membership and was signed by HK CSKA Moscow , for which he scored 11 points in 56 KHL games.
In May 2015, Stas and Dmitri Ogurzov were given to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk in exchange for the KHL transfer rights to Nail Jakupow . For Neftechimik, he completed a total of 64 KHL games until mid-October 2016 before returning to Dinamo Minsk in exchange for compensation.
International
For Belarus , Stas took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B World Championship in 2005 , the U18 Junior World Championship in 2006 , the U20 Junior World Championship in 2007 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2008 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2009 , 2010 and 2011 World Championships and at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
