Andrej Sjarhejewitsch Krautschanka ( Belarusian Андрэй Сяргеевіч Краўчанка , English Andrei Krauchanka , Russian Андрей Сергеевич Кравченко / Andrei Sergeyevich Kravchenko; * 4. January 1986 in Myschanka at Pietrykaŭ , Gomel Region ) is a Belarusian decathlete .

In 2003 he became junior world champion in eight-combat, 2004 junior world champion and 2005 junior European champion.

In 2007 he won bronze at the European Indoor Championships, won the Götzis all- around meeting with his personal record of 8617 points and was U23 European Champion. In the decathlon of the World Championships in Osaka , however, he was disqualified in the 100 meter run .

In the heptathlon of the World Indoor Championships in 2008 he won silver with the Belarusian record of 6234 points. His greatest success so far was at the Olympic Games in Beijing . There he won the silver medal with 8551 points behind Bryan Clay and ahead of Leonel Suárez . He became European champion for the first time at the 2014 European Championships in Zurich .

Andrej Krautschanka is 1.92 m tall, weighs 82 kg and lives in Homel . His father was a decathlon military master of the Soviet Union .
