Antti Hackzell
Antti Verner Hackzell (born September 20, 1881 in Mikkeli as Anders Hackzell , † January 14, 1946 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish politician and Prime Minister.
After studying law, he worked as a lawyer in Saint Petersburg from 1911 to 1917 . He was Governor of Viipuri Province from August 2, 1918 to April 9, 1920 . In addition, he was ambassador to Moscow from 1922 to 1927 . He was also Foreign Minister in Toivo Kivimäki's cabinet from December 1932 to October 1936 . He was also general director from 1930 to 1936 and then president of the trade association until 1945.
Hackzell was later Prime Minister from August 8 to September 21, 1944. As such, he led the peace negotiations with the Soviet Union to end the Continuation War , which ended on September 19, 1944 with the Moscow Armistice .
