Arthur Schreiber (born July 27, 1849 in Nordhausen ; † December 29, 1921 in Minden ) was a German administrative lawyer and ministerial official. He was regional president in Minden and Düsseldorf and undersecretary in the Prussian Ministry of Commerce.

Life

Schreiber first studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1869 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . As an inactive , he moved to the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin and the Albertus University in Königsberg . In 1873 he passed the trainee examination (good) and in 1879 the assessor examination (sufficient).

In 1870/71 he served as a volunteer in the Franco-German War . He made it up to the Rittmeister of the Reserve in the 2nd Hanoverian Dragoon Regiment No. 16 . In 1873 he became a court trainee, in 1879 a court assessor at the district court deputation in Charlottenburg . In 1879 he represented the district judge in Drossen in the Frankfurt / Oder district .

He changed from the administration of justice to the internal administration of Prussia and was appointed government assessor in 1879 . He came to the Ministerial Military and Building Commission in Berlin. In 1881 he was entrusted with the municipal administration of the Hadersleben district office and was finally appointed district administrator in 1881 . In 1892 he was appointed senior councilor in the Arnsberg government. In 1896 he moved to the government in Düsseldorf as senior government councilor and representative of the president . On November 1, 1899, Schreiber became regional president in the administrative district of Minden . On March 9, 1903, he became President of the District of Düsseldorf . In August 1908 he was promoted to Undersecretary in the Ministry of Commerce. In 1914 your Excellency resigned from civil service.

Arthur Schreiber was of Protestant denomination and married.
