Career

society

Yusupov played from 2006 to 2007 for the second-rate Russian club Krylya Sovetov-SOK Dimitrovgrad. In 2008, like many other players and coaches at the club, he moved to the newly founded FC Togliatti . In 2009 he switched to Dynamo Moscow . In his first season he only came to one half-time against Spartak Nalchik . In 2010 he was loaned to the second-rate FK Chimki , where he scored seven goals in 36 league games and was the club's top scorer with another player. After returning to Moscow, he made 26 appearances in the 2011/12 Premjer League and also played with ex-German international Kevin Kurányi , but only scored one goal. Dynamo qualified fourth for the third qualifying round of the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League . In the cup Dynamo reached the final, but lost it against Rubin Kazan with 0: 1, whereby Yusupov was not used.

The entry into the qualification for the UEFA Europa League was successful: With 2: 2 and 5: 0 - whereby he scored the goal to 3: 0 - the fourth of the Scottish Premier League Dundee United was dispatched. In the playoff round, however, Dynamo failed at VfB Stuttgart , the sixth in the German Bundesliga , for which his teammate Kurányi had played from 2001 to 2005. In the 2012/13 season he just missed a place in a European competition with Dynamo in seventh place. In the cup they lost in the quarterfinals with a goal by Samuel Eto'o with 0: 1 after extra time against Anzhi Makhachkala .

In 2013/14 , Dynamo qualified fourth again for qualifying for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League . In the cup, Dynamo was eliminated in the fifth round against the second-rate club FK Salyut Belgorod , which went into bankruptcy at the end of January 2014.

The entry into the qualification for the UEFA Europa League 2014/15 was successful against the Israeli league third party Hapoel Ironi Kirjat Schmona : After a 1-1 home game, the second leg in Cyprus was won 2-1. The playoff round also took them to Cyprus, where they played against Omonia Nicosia and this time they won 2-1 after a draw at home (2-2). Yusupov only sat on the bench during the qualifying games. He was only used in the group stage in six games, which Dynamo finished as group winners before PSV Eindhoven , GD Estoril Praia and Panathinaikos Athens . He was also used in both successfully completed sixteenth-finals against RSC Anderlecht , through which Dynamo "reached the round of 16 in a UEFA competition for the first time in 19 years". When eliminated in the round of 16 against SSC Napoli , he was not used. The championship season concluded Dynamo fourth, but did not receive a license for a UEFA competition. In the cup, Dynamo was eliminated in the sixteenth finals against the second-rate club Schinnik Yaroslavl .

For the 2015/16 season, Yusupov moved to master Zenit St. Petersburg and was able to play the Champions League for the first time . Before that he won the Russian Supercup with Zenit on penalties against Lokomotiv Moscow . Since he was replaced in the 64th minute, he was not used in the penalty crime thriller. In the Champions League he was used in five of the six group games, of which Zenit only lost the last game against KAA Gent , when the group victory was already certain. Both left the renowned clubs Olympique Lyon and FC Valencia behind. In the round of 16 Zenit then lost both games against Benfica Lisbon , with Jussupow only playing in the 1: 2 home game after the first leg was already lost 0: 1. In the Premjer League 2015/16 he was only third with Zenit, so that he could play "only" the Europa League in 2016/17 . But he was able to win the cup with Zenit by beating new champions PFK ZSKA Moscow 4-1 in the final , where he scored the last goal. In the Europa League, Zenit was group winners with five wins and one defeat, with Jussupow only playing for 30 minutes in the defeat in the last game against AZ Alkmaar when the group victory was already certain. In the sixteenth finals, after a 2-0 defeat at RSC Anderlecht , where he was substituted on 10 minutes before the end of the game, the 3-1 home win due to the away goals rule was not enough to reach the second round.

For the season 2017/18 , he was the league rivals FC Rostov on loan, the sixth the previous season had missed the Bundesliga. In July 2018 he then moved to Rostov on a free transfer, where he stayed until January 2019 and then returned to FK Dynamo Moscow on a free transfer .

National team

After Russia qualified for the European Championship finals in 2016, he was invited to the Russian national soccer team for the first time in November 2015 . In the first friendly game on November 14, 2015, he only sat on the bench. Three days later he played for 90 minutes in a 1: 3 against Croatia . In March 2016, he came on as a substitute for Lithuania in the second half.

When national coach Leonid Sluzki named the squad for the European Championship finals on May 21, 2016 , he was not one of the 23 nominated players. After Igor Denisov suffered a thigh injury in the friendly against Serbia on June 5, he was nominated on June 6. In the tournament, which the Russians finished last in the group after the preliminary round, he was not used. Even after the EM there was no further use.
