Aulnay is a French commune with 129 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Bar-sur-Aube and the canton of Brienne-le-Château (until 2015: canton of Chavanges ).

Aulnay is located in the Champagne sèche region , around 30 kilometers northeast of Troyes . Aulnay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jasseines in the north, Donnement in the north-east, Braux in the east, Chalette-sur-Voire in the south, Magnicourt in the west and south-west, and Brillecourt in the west and north-west.
