Béla Simon (born August 4, 1988 in Szolnok ) is a Hungarian rower .

Béla Simon finished seventh in the four without a helmsman in 2005 and twelfth in 2006 at the Junior World Championships . In 2007 he switched to the two without a helmsman and took fifth place with Gaspar Vinko at the U23 World Championships , at the 2007 European Championships they came in sixth. At the European Championships in 2008 the Hungarians finished in seventh place.

In 2009 Béla Simon and Adrián Juhász formed the two without a helmsman, the two won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships and achieved fifth place at the European Championships . At the 2012 Olympic Games , Simon rowed with Domonkos Széll , but did not reach the semifinals.

In 2013, Juhász and Simon rowed together again in twos without a helmsman, at the European Championships in 2013 they reached a final at international championships after four years when they finished fifth. After a very weak 2014, the Hungarians came in fifth again at the 2015 European Championships . The two Hungarians received their first international medal in the adult sector at the European Championships in 2016 , when they won the title ahead of the British and the Dutch. At the 2016 Olympic Games , the two finished ninth.

In the new Olympic cycle, Simon and Juhász were initially unable to build on their past achievements. In two-without, they only finished ninth and penultimate place at the European Championships as defending champions. At the World Championships , they switched to the non-Olympic and less competitive two-man team and won the World Championship gold medal with Andrea Vanda Kolláth at the wheel.
