Bürgle

The Bürgle , whose historical name was probably Köndringen Castle , is an abandoned spur castle at 215  m above sea level. NN on an elongated spur-like terrace of the "Bürgle" 500 meters east of the Köndringen part of the municipality of Teningen in the district of Emmendingen in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle, presumably built by the noble lords of Köndringen, was mentioned in 1111 as the seat of the lords of Köndringen and in the first half of the 14th century in the Tennenbacher Güterbuch . It may have been abandoned as early as the 13th century. The neck moat has been preserved from the former castle complex . The Bürgle is one of the earliest castles in the Breisgau .
