The Kyffelburg is next to the Küchlinsburg one of the two abandoned castles in today's urban area of Waldkirch in the district of Emmendingen , Baden-Württemberg .

The castle, first mentioned in 1454, was located on the area of the St. Margarethen Monastery in the Probsteistraße – Kandelstraße – Dettenbachstraße area of Waldkirch.

The former owners of the castle are the lords of Fischerbach, until 1485 Hans von Sulz , 1485 chaplain Nikolaus Holderman and 1490 the Margarethenstift. After 1762 the castle was demolished because it was in disrepair. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.

The name of the castle is said to be derived from "kiffeln", which back then meant arguing.
