The list of castles, palaces and fortresses in Schleswig-Holstein includes castles , palaces , manors and estates as well as some other construction objects, such as monasteries . Although some of the manors of estates are also referred to as a castle , the estates and noble estates are all listed in the same section . For church buildings see: Category: Church buildings in Schleswig-Holstein .
Some are still in good condition today and are inhabited or used, others only have ruins, stone relics or less. Most of them are covered in the local articles.
